This 72-acre garden, established in 1884, is one of the oldest Botanic gardens in Malaysia and offers you a chance to explore the diverse flora and fauna. It was initially created by the British colonial administration to serve as a research centre for tropical plants. Over the years, it has evolved into a beautiful park and recreational area that showcases the natural beauty of Malaysia.

The garden is home to more than 500 species of plants, including rare and exotic ones, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts and botanists. The Cannonball Tree is named from its large, woody fruit that resembles a cannonball.

Apart from the plants, the garden is also home to various animals, such as monkeys, squirrels, lizards, and different species of birds. The monkeys are particularly active and can often be seen playing in the trees or scavenging for food.
